PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

TARPA’s greatest challenge is maintaining our membership. All of our new members are prior crew members who had not joined until recently. There are many others who are eligible, but for one reason or another have not joined us at this time. I urge you to invite anyone who is eligible, but is not currently a member, to join us.

After the last convention, we started two new programs to introduce TARPA to former TWA pilots still flying for AMR and one to assist furloughed TWA pilots who want to maintain membership in our organization, but due to financial conditions, are unable to do so. In the latter program, TARPA members volunteered to sponsor furloughed pilots.

Our next Convention will be in Philadelphia, one of America’s premier historic cities. The success of our conventions is the lifeblood of our organization, so please plan to attend. The March issue of TARPA Topics will have the complete information about the dates, location and will include the reservation forms. Also, remember to pay your dues.
