President's Message

Dear follow TWA Cockpit Crew Member,

Needless to say that since I was elected President in Scottsdale last year, it seems the year has gone by at the speed of light. It is hard to believe that another convention has come and gone and making plans for another. San Antonio was truly fun.

A few of the changes that have been made are the office of Secretary/Treasurer has been separated. Capt. Mike McFarland will be wearing two hats as Second Vice President and Secretary. Capt. Ed Madigan will continue into his eleventh year as Treasurer. Thank you both for your hard and tireless work.

Speaking of hard and tireless work I need to recognize Dee Dee young, Leslie Locke and Bob Dedman for our fun Hospitality Suites. And of course the Magnificent work of Capt. Jeff Hill on our beautiful TARPA TOPICS Magazine. I just don't have enough accolades for Jeff. What class!

Along with those that I have just mentioned that have acted as mentors in my role as President, are First Vice President, Capt. Dusty West, Senior Director,Capt. Charlie Wilder, Past President, Capt. Guy Fortier, Editor Emeritus, Capt. John Gratz. Thanks to Capt. Bob Sherman and John Bybee, keeping the "Flown West" list up to date. Such an important task. Thank you all. You make my roll as President much easier.

Recognition such as I have just mentioned would not be complete without recognizing the wonderful professional work that Vicki McGowan does for us. These great events would be much more difficult, if not impossible to put on plus this lady saves us a lot of money. Thank you Vicki!!

Also working tirelessly in the background at our conventions are, Suzy Madigan, Lee West, and Helen Wilder. Thank You Ladies!!

We also have our photographer, Capt. Roger Leach, doing an excellent job and we thank you for it.

Also, I need to congratulate Marc Brecy and Capt. Bob Willcutts on our spectacular web site and message boards. Thank you Gentlemen.

Now in Conclusion, the people I really need to recognize and thank profusely are you the people that make TARPA and our conventions possible and a success. Ladies and Gentlemen I salute you and your support of TARPA and our Conventions.

Our next convention will be on board the newly upgraded celebrity "Infinity," 7 - 14 September, 2012, Seattle - Skagway, via the Tracy Arm and the Sawyer Glacier. More information will be in TOPICS and the web site. This Cruise is welcome to any one, family members, friends, etc.

Again, Thank all of You, Bill Kirschner, President
